The Boston Salads Receiver is experienced in overseeing the entire Receiving function, including receiving, inspecting, organizing incoming materials, maintaining accurate inventory, and coordinating material flow to production. This role plays a key part in inventory control, including monitoring stock levels and coordinating transfers between warehouse locations. Position starts at 6:00 am, M-F, No weekends. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and hours.

AS BOSTON SALADS RECEIVER, YOU WILL:
- Receive incoming raw materials and packaging items
- Verify shipments against purchase orders and packing slips
- Inspect materials for accuracy, quality, and damage
- Accurately enter receiving data into the computer/ERP system
- Label and store materials in designated warehouse locations
- Maintain organized warehouse layout and proper stock rotation (FIFO)
- Monitor inventory levels and identify shortages or overstock conditions
- Request and coordinate material transfers between warehouse locations
- Perform cycle counts and assist with physical inventory
- Investigate and report inventory discrepancies
- Work closely with production by ensuring materials are available when needed
- Operate Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) such as forklifts and pallet jacks
- Follow all company safety, quality, and food safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with purchasing, production, and QA teams
REQUIRED
- 5 years of experience in a receiver role; experience in food manufacturing preferred
- Good, stable work history
- Prior inventory experience
- Must be able to work in the US permanently
- Communicate well in English (speaking, reading, writing); speaking/understanding Portuguese or Cape Verdean a plus
- Demonstrated basic business computer skills (data entry, system navigation) a must
- Previous experience with scanners and operating Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) (Certification preferred but not required; training provided)
- Good in math; strong attention to detail and organization skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of inventory accuracy
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Food manufacturing facility, most of it refrigerated. Lift and move materials up to 50 pounds. Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout shift. Must follow GMPs, food safety, and safety protocols at all times.
